Don't miss Somerset County's Journey Through the Past weekend at SSAAM! 

 

As SSAAM celebrates the 125th anniversary of Mt. Zion AME Church, join us for a lively Camp Meeting reenactment on October 12th. Camp Meetings were an important part of religious and social life in the Sourlands from the late-1800s to the 1930s, and SSAAM will recreate one this weekend with reenactors in period clothing, live music from local choirs and singers, baked goods and treats, and opportunities to "meet" historical figures from our local African American community.

 

This is a free, family friendly event for the whole community. Mark your calendars for a weekend of history, culture, and camaraderie at Mt. Zion AME!
